This museum/gallery contains more pieces that honour Michelangelo Buonarotti than it does work created by the great man himself. He did own the house, but never lived in it;  the collection is the work of Michelangelo Buonarotti the Younger, in honour of his great-uncle.
Works include the Madonna of the stairs (his earliest known work), the Battle of the Centaurs and the Santo Spirito Crucifix, rediscovered in 1963. There are also various reproductions of Michelangelo´s work.
