The terraced gardens are surrounded by acres of olive groves with pines, cypresses, sweet chestnuts and walnut trees. The origins of the house are lost in history, but it has been restored to offer all the comfort and graciousness of modern life.

The stone house, built into rock, has a wealth of chestnut beams and old terracotta tiles. It is furnished in Tuscan style with carved oak and walnut beds and traditional oak and chestnut furniture. Extensive paths from the house lead to gentle or demanding walks in the neighbouring countryside and woods. Two hammocks within the garden provide rest for tired limbs. The property sleeps 11 in 5 double bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. There is also a small detached barn alongside, with a double bedroom and ensuite bathroom.

The new swimming pool in the terracing above the house has elegant traditional stonework, kitchen facilities, refrigerator, a shower, changing-room and pergola to compliment the magnificent views over the Tuscan hills. There are ample sun loungers on the large terracotta tiled pool terrace. The pool, which is regularly maintained during your stay, has underwater lighting.

The house facilities include satellite TV and VCR, fax machine, table tennis, washing machine, dishwasher and central heating.
