At 850 metres above sea level, Hotel Ristorante Belvedere has commanding
panoramic views of the surrounding landscape - jagged, snow-capped mountains
and chestnut forests that date back to mediaeval times. This is a beautiful,
wild area with a large and varied population of wild animals and birds,
shielded from modernising influences by the Apuan and Appenine alps.
Ancient villages, castles and churches perch on the steepest of hills
and there are several sites of archaeological significance.
In contrast to the rugged surroundings, the hotel is a modern oasis
with an excellent restaurant,
a bar, tennis courts, swimming pools, bowling, a mini-soccer pitch and
a playpark. Guests can relax on the terraces (used for dining during
the summer months) with a delicious gelato from our ice-cream
parlour.
