Locanda l' Elisa is situated in a secluded large garden, just 3 kilometres from Lucca, 15 from Pisa, 20 from Montecatini and 22 from the beaches of Versilia. [ local map | map of region ] The hotel stands at the foot of a range of hills close to Lucca, and is housed in a perfectly restored villa. The villa would appear to have been rebuilt in the early eighteenth century by an official who was part of the retinue of Elisa Baciocchi, Napoleon's sister. |

The five-star hotel is fully air-conditioned
and consists of ten luxurious suites, bar, restaurant and salons replete
with eighteenth-century furniture, fabrics and carpets designed on the
basis of illustrations from the period. The restaurant is situated in a Victorian-style conservatory, surrounded by a luxurious garden of bushes, flowers and aquatic plants. The garden is crossed by a burbling brook and contains a large and elegant swimming pool.
