Spend a day in the green Lucca countryside, beside the lake at Palaiola.

Restaurant 'Osteria il Pergolone' offers typical home cooking in tranquil surroundings.

Start with the generous antipasto della casa and move on to home-made tortelli 'as grandmother makes it' or the hearty local broth zuppa alla frantoiana and a good choice of meat and fish dishes.
Sweets range from our own ice cream to panna cotta and the local torta coi becchi. Pizza is made in the evenings only.

Adjoining the restaurant is the well stocked shop and a pleasant bar where you can spend the afternoon with the newspapers and an ice cream or coffee. There is ample seating outside and you can even fish in the lake.

Groups are welcome at Il Pergolone, and please note that it is possible to arrange tours of the local olive oil mill.
