This tiny bed and breakfast is in Colle
di Buggiano, a small mediaeval village of winding cobbled streets
in the hill country behind Montecatini Terme. The views from the
500
year old house are spectacular, taking in the village and the surrounding
hills with their many ancient fortifications - testimony to historic
struggles between Florence,
Lucca and Pisa for this rich land.
Although the village itself is as peaceful a spot as you could wish
for, nearby rail and motorway links mean that all of Tuscany is on your
doorstep - Lucca, Pisa and the beaches of Versilia to the west, Florence
and the winelands of Chianti to the east. The spa town of Montecatini
is well worth a visit and the unspoilt city of Pistoia with its annual
blues festival is only a few kilometres away. Please read on for more details and some pictures of the rooms, take a look at the village, use one of the links below to find us on the map, or contact antica casa 'le rondini' for booking information. |
