La Casina Bassa consists of five apartments, most of which have accommodation for two to four guests. One larger flat — La Loggia — offers accommodation for four to six.

The decor is simple and classically Umbrian with wooden beams, brickwork and
antique furniture lending a warm, welcoming ambience
In spite of the carefully preserved appearance of antiquity facilities are
modern and clean, each flat with a fully equipped kitchen area and bathroom
with shower. All of the flats are centrally heated and have color TV and a
fireplace, which is a welcome boon in the colder winter months.
This really is a perfect place to get away from the hubbub of city life —
basking in the pool (5m x 15m, 1,5m depth), taking a stroll through the grounds
or simply enjoying the gorgeous, rustic views. You can hire a mountain bike
to explore the gentle, scenic roads of the area and build up an appetite for
a barbecue, or stroll down to the village for a coffee and some shopping.
Umbria has a great reputation for its foods — hearty, simple fare made
with the finest local ingredients: outstanding cured meats and cheeses, black
and white truffles, fine wines and outstanding extra virgin olive oils. Tuscany
too has an impressive culinary reputation, and with the border only 5km away,
it would be a shame to miss out on its offerings.

Lake Trasimeno is only 10km away — a great place for bird watching
or boating and other water sports. Other delights in the area include mediæval
pageants, celebrations of the local truffles, horse shows, antique fairs and
the Umbrian Jazz festival (Perugia 8th - 23th July). Nearby destinations in
Tuscany include Cortona and the famous wineries of Montepulciano.
Some distances: Rome 160km, Florence 140km, Todi 90km, Assisi 65km, Orvieto
50km and Perugia 45km.
