The Cilento national park, a large expanse of wilderness dotted with towns and hamlets, is located in the south of Campania. This unspoiled land draws many to it looking to escape from the bustle of city life. Three such souls, Ella, Paulo and Leo realised this dream - escaping from the rat-race and building the Apartments Nel Cilento high in the hills of this natural oasis.

The Cilento and Vallo di Diano was added as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1998; they say of this region -
"The Cilento area is a cultural landscape of exceptional quality. Dramatic chains of sanctuaries and settlements along its three east-west mountain ridges vividly portray the historical evolution of the area as a major route for trade and for cultural and political interaction during the prehistoric and medieval periods. It was also the boundary between the Greek colonies of Magna Grecia and the indigenous Etruscan and Lucanian peoples, and so preserves the remains of two very important classical cities, Paestum and Velia."
The apartments are within easy striking distance of numerous important archeological sites including Paestum and Velia. There is also the beauty of the densely wooded mountain ranges dotted with castles, abbeys, and ancient villages surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
For all the splendour of the national park you are only a short distance away from all of the amenities - the supermarket is only a five minute walk away from the apartments, as are the post office, bank, restaurants, and pizzeria. The sea is only a ten minute drive away, and the train station is even closer.
