Grand Hotel Tritone is a four-star hotel in a striking position on the Amalfi Coast between Amalfi and Positano. The hotel is still run by Giuseppe and Marianna Gagliano, who built it in the fifties, and preserves a welcoming, family atmosphere.
The hotel offers idyllic accommodation with splendid views over the Amalfi coastline and the Gulf of Salerno towards Capri. There is a pine wood and a garden of lemon trees to relax in, two sea-water swimming pools, a private beach (reachable by lift), party rooms, meeting rooms and a conference hall for 130.
[ local map | map of region ]The scenery of the Amalfi Coast is quite splendid, with crystal blue waters, rugged cliffs plunging into the sea and numerous hidden bays and grottos. Boat trips can be arranged from the private beach to several attractions including Amalfi, Capri and the Grotta dello Smeraldo. Land excursions include Positano (4km) and Amalfi (10km), Sorrento (20km), Salerno (34), Pompeii and Ercolano (45km) and Paestum and Naples (60km).

Guests can socialize in the reading- and drawing-rooms or take a refreshment in the American bar or the beachside breakfast room. The excellent “Cala delle Lampare” restaurant — named after the fishing boats whose lights illuminate the bay at night — specialises in Mediterranean seafoods, fresh fish, cheeses and local produce, and has a remarkable cellar of fine Italian wines.
Grand Hotel Tritone also offers the opportunity to get married in one of Italy’s most delightful and romantic spots — the hotel has a small grotto which holds a charming chapel which is available for weddings.
