Among vineyards on the hills surrounding the Emilia Romagna town of Faenza, sits the holiday farm La Sabbiona. This fully restored, traditional country house, furnished entirely in local style, is an oasis of comfort and tranquility.

All our kind accommodation are not luxurious, but each unique, are simple and comfortable. The house itself is surrounded by green lawns and gardens, and there is a swimming pool set within the vineyards and garden. Soccer and volleyball camps are available. Home cooking and the selection of excellent local wines completes the picture. The owners organise plenty of tastings. You can try the white sparkling Sabbiolino, the deliciously dry and flowery Bianco della Torre, full-bodied Rosso della Torre Sangiovese, and the mellow walnut liqueur, Liquore Nocino - delicious as a digestif after your meal.

There is plenty to do out and about around the farm. Hiking and biking can be arranged on the trails around the hills. You can also book special group activity holidays, such as Romagna cuisine workshops, where you can discover the superb traditional flavours of the region. There are personal fitness programmes, taking place in the clean open air, or indoors in the gym, and hosted by a fully trained instructor. Horse riding is available 5km from the farm house - this is a terrific way to explore the beautiful countryside of Emilia Romagna, Imola 20km (Dino Ferrari circuit), Ravenna 30km, Brisighella 15km (a mediaeval village). An hour by car to Bologna, Ferrara and San Marino. There are sightseeing tours to Faenza and the International Ceramics Museum.
