Faenza is world famous for its ceramics and pottery, and there's plenty more to see and do in the town. Visit the Oriolo dei Richi - a mediaeval tower surrounded by green parkland. Faenza is also a centre for Formula One. The Minardi F1 team has its factory in the town, and the Dino Ferrari Grand Prix circuit is 20km away, at Imola. Brisighella a fascinating mediaeval village with baths, lies 15km distant, and an hour's drive takes you to the tiny and ancient republic of San Marino. The Byzantine town of Ravenna, with its marvellous mosaics, the botanic gardens at Casola Valsenio, and the seaside resorts of the Adriatic Riviera are all within easy driving distance. And you can explore Valli di Comacchio and the river Po estuary with its amazing natural park, and the lush woods of Foreste Casentinesi.
To reach La Sabbiona by car from Bologna or Rimini, take the A14 highway towards Faenza. Look out for brown signposts for Oriolo dei fichi and Agriturismo La Sabbiona. If you are coming from Rome, take the E45 for Cesena nord, then the A14 highway for Bologna and Faenza and look for Brown signposts for Oriolo dei fichi and Agriturismo La Sabbiona.

Bologna airport is 50km away, Forli airport 15km. And there are frequent trains from Ravenna and Florence to Faenza Station, and from Milan to Lecce Station in Faenza. The owners can also arrange for a hire car to be delivered to La Sabbiona for you.
