Locanda Le Monache (the Nuns), its name derived from an adjacent convent, has its main entrance on what was once known as Via delle Monache on the Via Francigena, the ancient pilgrim route to Rome.

The tradition of this locanda or inn is warmth and hospitality, and owner and chef Filiberto Bertozzi, his wife Sonia, daughter Daniela and son-in-law sommelier Nicola are eager to give you a traditional welcome.
The restaurant is a real gastronomic pleasure: the food is lovingly and imaginatively prepared with an eye more to delicacy and originality than to traditional Tuscan cooking. The menu changes daily according to the availability of fresh ingredients.
