Buying Italian wine and olive oil online, direct from grower
An unashamed plug for some old friends who, having purchased, modernised and invested heavily in a Tuscan olive oil farm and winery, are now selling their organic Italian wines and olive oil online, direct from the estate.
It should be noted straight away that, unfortunately, shipping is only within Europe at present (if you’re visiting from the States, why not pay them a visit and buy directly?).
Production is modest (just three red wines, one white and one rose, plus olive oil), with the emphasis being very much on quality over quantity, and the wines have already fared extremely well in professional tastings and competitions. The oil, too, has been praised, not least for being organic.
The winery is located in southern Tuscany, very close to the increasingly important (and expensive) Bolgheri area. So, if you’re looking to buy Italian wine and olive oil online, from one of the very few producers who sell directly, then visit the Tuscan wine and olive oil store of Fontemorsi.
