Renting in Rome: Apartment San Pietro lies in the heart of Rome, just a short stroll from St Peter's Cathedral and the Vatican museums, and is an excellent vacation base in Italy's capital.
Situated in one of Rome's most lively and fascinating areas, the apartment is nicely furnished, very comfortable, and will quickly become a home from home. Lying on the second floor (with lift) of a centuries-old building, this Roman vacation apartment has recently been restored and has a bedroom with a large wardrobe, a bathroom with shower, a sitting room and a living room with double sofa bed. An extra single bed can be added on request. The kitchen is well equipped, with a dishwasher, and there is a laundrette just around the corner. The apartment has ceiling fans for the summer.
Holiday rental costs €140 per day, or from €900 per week. Also ask about monthly rental rates. There will be a €50 charge for final cleaning.
Step outside and you'll discover that Ottaviano is one of the most bustling areas of Rome. You will find clothing shops, grocery stores, some of the most renowned gourmet food shops in the city and a lively marketplace. And all this is located only five minutes from St Peter's Cathedral and just two minutes more from the Vatican Museums, and close to the fascinating neighbourhood of Borgo Pio, one of the favourites of the English-speaking community in Rome.
The city centre is just across the bridge, and can be easily reached by public transport, including the underground, (there is a station just around the corner).
Visit the monumental Colosseum, the stunning Pantheon, and the Roman Forum - a crumbling legacy of pagan temples, broken marble and triumphal arches. There are Renaissance period buildings concentrated within the historic centre situated between Via del Corso and the River Tiber. This collection of narrow winding cobbled side streets opens out onto magnificent piazzas with Baroque churches, palaces and exquisite fountains. There is the romantic Piazza Navona with the Fountain of the Four Rivers, the Piazza di Spagna and the sweeping Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain.
