Flats to rent in Rome

Apartment Gli Artisti

This sunny Rome apartment is on the fourth floor of an ancient building (no elevator unfortunately), and has a charming terrace from which to admire the city of Rome. Sleeping two, this flat to rent in Rome has one bedroom, a bathroom, and a superb position in the heart of the city.

Apartment Gli Artisti is on one of the oldest streets of Rome, Via Giulia. This Renaissance street is named after Pope Julius II della Rovere (1503-13), who tidied up the ‘rat’s nest’ of medieval Rome, laying out new, straight roads. The kilometre-long stretch flanks the Tiber from the pedestrian Ponte Sisto to the Ponte Vittorio Emanuele. This is one of the most charming and refined streets of the city; the silence and tranquil atmosphere is remarkable when you consider its proximity to the colourful market at Campo de’ Fiori and the old quarter of Trastevere.

In five or 10 minutes walk you can get to all the most interesting sights of Rome. You can stroll to the Pantheon, the Imperial Forum, San Pietro, Piazza di Spagna, the old Ghetto, Castel Sant’Angelo, the Colosseum and many more. Less than 10 minutes away is Piazza Navona.

Walking in the opposite direction, you can reach the Vatican and St Peter's in around a quarter of an hour. Just a block away lies Via di Monserrato, which has a number of fine restaurants specialising in seafood and Roman cuisine. The neighbourhood is well known for its handicrafts and antiques shops. Trams link this area with the whole historic centre of the city.
