The building itself is a palazzo owned by one of Lazio's oldest families, and was built during the 16th and 17th centuries. The private quarters contain an incredible art collection, a veritable mini-museum never opened to the public or listed in any books of art. Ask the owners of the palazzo for a private viewing! The apartment overlooks the square, which has a pretty fountain at its centre.
This spacious apartment covers around 1200 square feet with 9ft high ceilings and big rooms. It is very secluded and charmingly furnished with terracotta tiled floors and wood-beamed ceilings. All the windows are double-glazed and have marble sills. The furniture is newly restored, consisting of beautiful family antiques. Throughout the architect-owner has exercised painstaking care in marrying the best of modern luxury with the historical integrity of the building. Entering the palazzo you walk up one flight of marble stairs or take the lift to the second floor. The large living room has a sofa-bed and dining area, and there is a fully equipped kitchen with marble worktops, a gas stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher and dining table with chairs.
