Villa Tassoni was built at the end of the nineteenth century, the residence of his Excellency General Conte Giulio Cesar Tassoni, appointed Governor of Cirenaica by King Vittorio Emanuele III. In 1950 it was transformed into a hotel then, in the 1980s it was modernised and refurbished as four-star vacation accommodation.
