Torre del Sasso has been recently renovated - adapting the original structure, built around a 15th century watch tower that was part of the towns defence system - to a spacious and luxurious holiday apartment complex. It is surrounded by luscious gardens and parklands that are ideal for relaxing in; a range of activities are available for you to try out from jogging through the verdant parkland, practising a bit of archery, swimming in the pool (open from May 15th to September 15th) or simply walking along the river Bosso whose source springs from the nearby mountains. Indeed, during the summer months it is possible to cool off and swim in its sheltered pools. It is also possible to go truffle hunting with expert "tartufai" and their highly trained dogs whose noses can guide their owners to rich troves of the fine funghi.

Mountain bikers and hikers will find plenty of trails in the nearby hills and mountains to keep them happy; there are trails at every level of expertise from the least challenging to those for expert athletes. Within a short distance by car you can easily visit cities and towns known for their art, such as Cagli, Urbino and Gubbio, as well as the Adriatic coast with its lovely beaches.
As well as the physical excersise offered by this area there is much to stimulate your mind and artistic side. In the autumn/winter season you can participate in the many interesting artistic and cultural events planned for the “Domeniche del Casale”. You can develop your own creativity by taking special courses held by artists and local experts in different fields; you can also take Italian language courses at Atrium - an affirmed Italian Language Institute located in the centre of Cagli, open all year and host to students from all over the world. You can even learn various relaxation techniques taught by international experts.
