Lying in the hinterland of the Tigullio, on the Apennine Mountains, which separate Liguria from Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy and Piedmont, these beautiful valleys offer the delights of nature and plenty of activities. There is fishing for trout and carp, and the valleys are agriculturally rich. There is olive oil and wine from the Graveglia Valley, hazelnuts and cherries in the Sturla Valley, cheese from the Aveto Valley, honey and cakes from the Trebbia Valley, and chestnuts spread over the whole territory.

There are two natural parks: the Regional Park of Antola and the Aveto Natural Park. Organised excursions help you make the most of these marvellous natural spaces.

And head down to the coast and the Tigullio Gulf. Starting from the famed resort of Portofino (mentioned by Pliny as Portus Delphini) and you are in the protected area of the Portofino promontory, which extends from Camogli to Punta Pedale, a beautiful coastline and seascape.
