The Hotel Rio, San Remo offers three-star accommodation on Corso Matuzia, near to the centre of this lovely town on Italy's Riviera dei Fiori. San Remo (or Sanremo) lies on this marvellous curve of the Italian Riviera, stretching from Nice and the French border to the west, to Imperia in the east. The Riviera then continues on, though Genoa, curving round to meet mainland Italy. Sandwiched between the mountains of the Maritime Alps to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south, this narrow strip of land has a marvellously temperate microclimate - reliably warm in summer and mild in the summer months.
