Lake Garda Vacation Apartments - La Limonaia - Vacation rentals in Lombardy, Italy

Holiday Apartments La Limonaia

Lake Garda - Stylish spacious vacation apartments for rent lie on the western shore. This northern Italian holiday is perfect for a vacation of swimming, tanning and boating, and within easy reach of Verona, Brescia and Bergamo.

The La Limonaia apartments are in Gargnano on the west coast of Lake Garda between the town centre and Villa Feltrinelli. They are all on ground level, beside the lake, with a small flower garden and a marvellous terrace where you can enjoy the beautiful view, sunbathe from morning till evening, and swim in the lake. The western shore of Garda is known as the Riviera Bresciana and is a beautifully fertile part of the country. Lemon trees, olive groves and vineyards are here in abundance, producing olive oils, fruit juices and local wines such as Bardolino, Soave and Valpolicella. A walk around the shores here provides enormous variety. The scenery varies quite dramatically, as it changes from the lush planting of the mid-shore to the rugged mountains at the narrow northern end of the lake. To the south a broad and gentle plain stretches out.

The flats sit within an old lemon garden, a uniquely lovely setting. They are small, but truly delightful, ideal for couples, families ... everyone. Because of the mild climate the flats may also be rented during the winter. Every flat has its own independent heating. Situated only five minutes on foot from the town centre, there is windsurfing, sailing tennis and golf within easy walking distance. The apartments have parking places for guests.

These apartments lie around 40km from the exits of the A22 and A4 motorways; 35km from the railway station at Desenzano and 45km from that at Brescia; and 70km from the airports at Verona, 85km from that at Bergamo, and 200km from the airport at Milan.

Major cities nearby include Brescia (45km), Trento (70km), Verona (75km), Mantua (80km), Milan (150km) and Venice (190km). There's a huge amount to do in the area, with a host of theme parks, natural parks and gardens nearby. Gardaland is 60km away, the Arena di Verona 80km, Parco Natura Viva 60km, Caneva World 60km, Il Vittoriale Degli Italiani 13km, and the Botanic Garden at Sigurta 45km. There are plenty of sporting activities too, with half a dozen golf courses in the area, and mountain bikes for hire as well as many watersports on the lake itself.

Garda is a superb destination for families, lovers of watersports, or just those who want to relax in the gentle sunshine and enjoy some of Italy's most beautiful scenery and most favourable climates. This is the largest and cleanest stretch of water in this area of the Italian lakes, and though popular with visitors from Italy and northern Europe, it hasn't been spoiled by tourism. The temperate climate is created by cooling breezes, with the sova blowing south down the lake through the morning, and the ova blowing north in the afternoon. These gentle and varied breezes make the lake ideal for watersports, with windsurfing and boating hugely popular.
