There are a variety of airports which serve this area with, perhaps, that at Pisa being the most convenient. As all rental properties are village/rural you will need a car, so if you arrive by air you will need to hire one. Alternatively driving yourself to the Lunigiana can be a real pleasure, there are a number of different routes and you can combine driving with taking the motorail to Milan, Bologna or Livorno. In any event, on your arrival by car you will find that the area is well served by the Parma-La Spezia motorway, so access is simple. Once off the motorway, you will find that the rural roads of the Lunigiana are far from formidable - as they can be in some other parts of Italy.
