Podere Rottigliana is a family-owned farm set in the
peaceful mountains of the Lunigiana, northern Tuscany. Surrounded by
vineyards and olive groves, there are three apartments offering accommodation
for 2 to 6 visitors.
While the farm is the perfect place to get away from
it all, there is plenty to do in the area. The Lunigiana is rich in
natural delights, with ancient forests, majestic craggy mountains and
plenty of wildlife. Local activities include fly-fishing, mountain biking,
horse riding and hiking, there are mediaeval villages and castles to
explore, museums, marble quarries and archaeological remains. Best of
all are the summer events - village parties, wine and music festivals,
mediaeval tournaments... ... in short, a perfect vacation

| Exploring further afield: If you want to wander, the motorway at Pontremoli is
only 2km away, giving easy access to the wonderful beaches of Versilia
and the cliffside towns of the Cinque Terre. To the south, central Tuscany
and the cities of art (Florence, Lucca, Siena, Pisa) have a wealth of
attractions, and the mountains to the north offer some excellent off-road
driving, walking, skiing and climbing. The borders of Emilia-Romagna
and Liguria are nearby (the Tuscans didn't build all these castles for
nothing!) with their own attractions, events and traditions.
