The
house can be reached via a short walk (five hundred paces) down
through the old mediaeval streets of Casola - cars can be left in
the piazza at the top of the hill. The property, which has just
undergone some refurbishment, nestles at the bottom of the old city
walls surrounded by a large and well stocked garden. Fruit and vegetables
abound which the owner tends but to which guests can help themselves.
Casola is in the hills due north from Massa and very near to the
border with the Garfagnana.
It is a lovely old town with the typical mediaeval narrow streets
and old stone houses. This Tuscany holiday rental property can sleep
