On the ridge of the hills between Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta, in an 18th century park, the Sartori family built a modern, prestigious country house for their family vacations. Now available to families and groups seeking a Lake Maggiore holiday home rentals, these three houses can sleep up to 20.

Villa Padronale itself sleeps up to 10. In the same park is a small 19th century castle built in neo-Romantic style, fully renovated, facing the Italian-style garden (the Castellino sleeps up to six) and an old farmhouse called Casina Bianca, (sleeping up to four). These three properties are available together or separately, for short to medium term rentals.

The Villa is of course at the heart of the property, in terms of both position and importance; this is the country house the Sartori family traditionally came to on their vacations, whether for a long weekend in spring or autumn or for the long, hot summer holidays.

This elegant contemporary home was completed in 1971. It measures about 250 square metres on each of its three floors. There is a basement with a taverna, garage and wine cellars; a ground floor living area, including the entrance hall, double living room, dining room, study, kitchen, wardrobe, servant’s room and bathroom; a first floor with its four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

A number of arcades create natural links between the house and the garden: during the day, everybody ends up spending more time under the arcades than in the large, comfortable living area!

The second element of these Lake Maggiore holiday home rentals is an old country house next to the driveway. This has been converted into Casina Bianca, (the little white house), with a separate pedestrian entrance and its own lovely arcade-veranda. The ground floor of this old farmhouse is now a living room with a kitchenette, while the first floor has two bedrooms exposed to the morning sun. A balcony right above the old pergola is covered with grapevines; there is a bedroom with a small double bed and a large bathroom.

Castellino, (the little castle) is an old farm building and makes up the third of these Lake Maggiore holiday home rentals. Originally used as a stable as well as a home for farm hands; it overlooks the old village square, Piazza Marconi. It has been converted into a charming house that rises upwards to a turret, offering a perfect spot for stargazing.

The castle has a basement with entrance off Vicolo Castello, containing wine cellars and a laundry room. The ground floor living area incorporates a living room, a small study, a kitchen and a bathroom, overlooking its own little courtyard with a driveway and a parking space. The upper floor has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a magnificent stone patio for basking in the morning sun.

Across from the Villa is a beautiful swimming pool used exclusively by the people staying in the three houses. The pool measures 6.30 metres wide and 12.60 metres long, varying in depth from 110 centimetres to 2.80 metres, with a children’s slide and a sprung diving board. The water in the pool is heated. Visitors can enjoy the sun on a large sun terrace with four sun beds, hidden away from curious eyes.
