The Hotel Meeting provides vacation accommodation on the Piedmont shore of Lake Maggiore, northern Italy. Just a few minutes from the lake, the hotel makes an excellent starting point for excursions to Lombardy, Lake Como or even Switzerland.
This modern, comfortable holiday hotel is in the centre of Stresa, just 15 metres from the congress centre and 300 metres from the lake. The hotel has 29 lovely rooms, a lift, bar, typical pub, restaurant, sun terrace and garage for guests.
Great cooking and a friendly atmosphere will ensure a pleasant stay. The warm and cosy TV room, with a nice bar, is always at your disposal, and you can spend your evenings having fun with your friends in the traditional pub. The sun terrace, meanwhile, provides wonderful views onto the lake and the mountains surrounding Stresa.
In the morning you'll enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast, and the light, airy restaurant offers each day a selection of local specialities, with a choice of menu and a salad buffet.
All the rooms are large and have been refurbished in the last few years. All have telephone, satellite TV, and private bathrooms, and most have their own balconies.
The focal point of your holiday is likely to be the lake itself. Lake Maggiore (or Verbano) lies in north-eastern Piedmont, bordering Lombardy and Switzerland, and is the second largest Italian lake after Garda. With a mild climate, good hotels and excellent campsites, Lake Maggiore is a highly sought after tourist destination. There are connections to the ski slopes at Mottarone and a plethora of watersports on the lake itself. Fishing, water skiing, rowing, sailing and swimming are all on offer, and there are three good golf courses at Stresa, Gignese and Premeno. [ local map ]
