Villa to rent on Lake Maggiore, Piedmont, Italy - A century-old, 3-storey holiday villa right on the shores of Lake Maggiore. This villa is unique because it is one of the few properties on Maggiore with its own private shore.
The attic has a living area with a comfortable reading corner. A curtain separates this outer room from the sleeping area. There is a double room, comprising an outer room and bedroom. A utility room with washing machine completes the accommodation here.
The garden has sun loungers, chairs, a green coffee table in
a bamboo grove and a seated area providing terrific views from the stone terrace.
A big sunshade and other garden furniture are also available, with the garden
large enough for guests to find their own private niches to relax and read.
There is a table tennis table in a small room (half loggia/half tree house)
beneath the garage.
The house has 2 private parking spaces and a garage above the villa, lying on the shore road. Although there is traffic on this road, the trees between the road and the villa provide an excellent noise barrier. Privacy is guaranteed.
Villa Donizetti is only 5 minutes from Cannero Riviera with its unspoiled fishing port, cafes, and promenade. The ferry from Cannero takes you to the Borromea and Brissago islands. Cannero Riviera may well be the nicest village on the western shore, just within the Swiss-Italian border and little known. The restaurants are very classy, and even in August there is room enough in the narrow streets around the harbour. The village is in a small protected bay with an especially mild climate, where lemons, bougainvillea and even bananas grow - a little piece of the Mediterranean on the lakes.
Low season: Jan 02 2010 - Jun 26 2010, Aug 28 2010 - Jan 08 2011. High season: Jun 26 2010 - Aug 28 2010. Weekly rental of the villa in low season is €3050 and in high season is €3550, with reservations from Saturday to Saturday only. There are a maximum 3 children under 15 years allowed (babies under 1 year excepted). Domestic help is available on request at €11 per hour; a child's cot with bars is available. Bed, bath and kitchen linen, water, electricity, gas, 4 hours house-cleaning on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and final cleaning are all included in the price. Additional costs include the security deposit of €1000. Heating (if required) is €60 per day. Firewood for fireplace is also available, with prices on request. There is a mobile phone available with pre-paid cards available at your own expense. Should the maximum capacity of the house be exceeded, the cot will be charged at €150 per week. Pets are allowed, at €60 per week. If you plan to bring your dog, please contact the owners for the Declaration Of Accepting Responsibility For Your Pet form.
