The apartments have been converted from carefully restored original structures, including homes, the cellar, the pigeon loft and the tobacco-curing house. Great care has been taken to preserve the original beams and tiles, and the apartments have been stylishly decorated in warm, rustic colours. With traditional fittings and furniture, you get a real flavour of Tuscan country life.
The setting is delightfully tranquil, surrounded by fruit trees and meadows, with excellent views of the Valdichiana countryside. There is a large (16 by 8m), well-kept swimming pool with sunbeds, deckchairs and umbrellas and several hydromassage areas. The pool is shared by the apartments.
The location is ideal for a holiday in Tuscany — you get all the benefits and enjoyment of a country holiday without being remote or isolated. Arezzo, which is only eight kilometres away, is a delightful, small city — once one of the Etruscans' most important settlements, it has a long and wealthy history. Architecturally important, the old town is well worth exploring on foot.
Other parts of Tuscany are easily accessible: Cortona (20km) is worth a trip and Siena (40km) and Florence (60km) should not be missed at any cost. Wine-lovers should visit Montepulciano (35km) and the hills of Chianti.
