ITALY - VILLA RENTAL, TUSCANY - VILLA
ELEANORA, NEAR FLORENCE Located close to the 'Volterrana' - the old road connecting Florence and Volterra, there are many fascinating places to visit within an hours' drive, from the City of Florence to the small hilltowns of Certaldo and San Gimignano. An excellent choice of restaurants and trattoria are also located nearby, including 'Il Focolare' only a couple of kilometres away (and owned by the manager of Villa Eleanora). Just a few minutes further, in Cerbaia, is 'La Tenda Rossa', regarded by some as being Tuscany's finest restaurant (may be closed for some weeks in August). [ local map | map of region ] Use of the pool - 18m x 9m, 1.2-2.0m deep, open beginning May- mid October, is shared with the adjacent Tortori apartments, although the villa has private access to the pool. |

Villa Montegufoni is an elegant nineteenth
century Villa, but has parts dating back to the sixteenth-century. Although
it is only twenty kilometres from the centre of Florence, from it's secluded
garden there are uninterrupted views of the vineyards and olive groves
and it is strategically located right at the "gate" to the mythical
region of Chianti Colli Fiorentini. Facilities include telephone and television, washing machine and utility room, barbecue, childs cot, weekly linen change and ample private parking.
