The apartment is part of an eighteenth century building, with a splendid facade on the Piazza del Carmine (home to the remarkable frescos of the Brancacci Chapel.) The entrance to the traditional courtyard is guarded by a great arch with ornate iron gates.

The area is flourishing, with numerous small restaurants, artisans' workshops and boutiques selling antiques. There is an excellent local transport system, but the Cathedral, art galleries, churches and museums of the ancient centre are only 10 minutes away - a delightful walk through the beautiful streets of Florence.
