I Melograni is a Bed and Breakfast owned by a friendly Italian-English family and situated in central Tuscany just outside the town of Empoli. The house is part of a large and impressive country villa with views out over vineyards and onto private woods beyond. The house is at the end of a quiet country road 3km from the local town Empoli, Tuscany.
The location is perfect for a holiday exploring Tuscany and central Italy - Empoli is halfway between Florence and Pisa and has a reliable, frequent train service that will also take you to Siena or the beaches of Versilia. Chianti with its renowned vineyards is nearby and the town of Vinci (15 minutes by car) has an excellent museum with working examples of Leonardo's inventions.

A typical Tuscany breakfast is served on the terrace on sunny days which has spectacular views of olive groves and vineyards. A time when guests study their guide books and swap information with other guests on good places to eat or visit before begining their daily excursions.
The B&B provides 6 double bedrooms, some of which have private ensuite bathrooms, fridge, safe and tea/coffee making facilities and air conditioning (at an extra cost). For double rooms prices range from €75, for a single price is €45 and for a triple is €85. During the summer months breakfast is served on the terrace, a spot ideal for some holiday.

For guests there are maps and travel books available in the breakfast room. Breakfast is included in the price and includes typical fresh Tuscan cakes, real Italian coffee freshly made and tea, fruit juice, toast and jams.
For guests travelling without a car we offer a free lift to Empoli train station after breakfast from where they can travel to all major towns. There are nice family trattorias nearby, one of which serves an unusual local Tuscan dish of 'Gnocchi with stinging nettle leaves'.
Prices in Euros are: a double room for single occupancy is €40 per night; double room is €59 per night. Family room (3 guests) per night is €79. Family room (4 guests) per night is €89. There is a private swimming pool five minutes away by car. Here for a minimum fee you can swim in the big pool, relax in the sun and eat lunch at the bar next to the pool.
