"Who would ambition shun and loves to live i'the sun, seeking the food he eats and pleased with what he gets. Come hither, come hither, come hither, here shall he see no enemy but Winter and rough weather. ( As You Like It: Act11 SceneV)"

This page is the jumping off point for a selection of properties overseen by an Englishman living in the area. Below you'll find details of the Mill, which, along with two nearby cottages, offers Bed and Breakfast accommodation, but should you be looking for a holiday rental in this unique area (click here to learn more), try the following:

Sorgere del Sole (Sleeps 2)
Canto del Gallo (Sleeps 4)
Aurora (Sleeps 6)
Stella della Mattina (Sleeps 6)

The Mulino dell'Opera is an old (turbine) watermill, built originally in 1705, in the hidden part of Tuscany - the bit the guidebooks forget about (thank goodness!) - which means it is rustic, tranquil, unspoilt and unhurried here.
Bed and Breakfast accommodation - or, as we prefer to call it "Home Hospitality" - is provided both at the Mill and at two nearby cottages (Alba & Tramonto).
The Mill itself sleeps up to 6 people and a child in two double bedrooms - 'Ariel' (double or twin) and 'Titania' (Four-Poster double), and a quasi-suite ('Romeo' - double and single). All bedrooms have private tub or shower bathrooms.

We have tried to ensure the accommodation provided meets guests' exacting requirements, whilst retaining the essential 'homeliness', which is particular to this style of holiday. Alba and Tramonto have well-appointed sitting rooms and a riverside garden - as has the Mill itself, of course. Adequate (but not comprehensive) cooking facilities are available at the cottages and in 'Romeo', sufficient for the preparation of snack-meals some guests enjoy occasionally (especially those with children), in place of yet another gargantuan gourmet experience at the Mill, or one of our fine local restaurants.
