Le Vetrate offers family run Bed & Breakfast in a small Mediaeval Tuscan village at 500 metres above sea level, a short distance from the beautiful town of Barga. The village of Verni, with cobbled streets and terracotta-roofed houses, is unspoilt and has an ambience of the Italy of fifty years ago. Also, as no vehicles are permitted into the village, children can play freely.
The village of Verni is located in the Apuane Natural Park, renowned for spectacular views of mountains and hilltop villages, vineyards and chestnut woods. The area is a delight for all walkers, hikers and nature-lovers. The village of Verni has a bar, a small shop and a trattoria offering 'home cooking' at moderate prices.
We can accommodate comfortably a party of four to six people; there are two double bedrooms and one twin, hot and cold water in all of the rooms, and one bathroom serving all three. We aim to keep one booking at a time.
A very hearty and healthy continental breakfast is served any time of the morning - on the terrace if weather permits. Click here for a panoramic view from the terrace. The family pool is available for the use of guests (June to September) but we would like to make it clear that the location of the pool terrace is not really suitable for families with young children. Viareggio and the Versilian coast are an hour and a half away, though a little longer for those who choose the mountain road which passes through the Carrara marble mountains and drops down to the sea.
