La Mimosa is situated in the beautiful Tuscan countryside just four kilometres from Lucca. It consists of a lovingly restored barn. It is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and wooded hills, amidst ancient churches, villas and farmhouses.
The quiet location , the view over the plains of Lucca and across the hilly countryside, and the fresh air combine to make La Mimosa a perfect retreat in which to relax and unwind. Enjoy the beautifully situated private swimming pool, or you can go walking, jogging or cycling in the surrounding countryside. There is also a tennis club and a practise golf range just one kilometre away.
This is an excellent base for a holiday in Tuscany. Lucca is a delightful town - a treasure trove of art, architecture and culture. Its famous walls enclose an unspoiled centre with countless churches, museums and palazzi. There is an active social scene including art exhibitions, theatre and music. Regular markets sell local produce, antiques and craft works and there are many good restaurants, bars and shops to enjoy.

At La Mimosa, there is a large salt-water swimming pool situated above the vineyards, and with a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding hills and the Lucca plain.
If you want to explore, there is plenty to choose from. The beaches of Viareggio and the Versilian Riviera (25km) are an easy drive to the west, while the unspoiled natural reserves of the Garfagnana and the Apuan Alps (40-70 km) lie to the north. Pisa (16km), Florence (65km) and Siena (80km) are all within easy reach, as are the famous vineyards of Chianti. Lucca has excellent transport with regular trains, busses and a motorway link. The nearest airport is in Pisa, 25 minutes drive away, and Florence airport is also an option.
