This is a beautiful building, entered through an imposing arched door which leads into arched cloisters and a small enclosed garden with trees. The flat itself is a delight, cool in the hot summer months (it has air conditioning) and offering wonderful views of the old city. Tastefully furnished and decorated, it offers sophisticated, peaceful holiday accommodation for four.
The first room you see on entering the flat is the welcoming, warmly coloured livingroom with its beamed ceiling, marble fireplace and elegant, traditional furniture. There is a well-equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. The bedrooms (there are two doubles) offer comfortable holiday accommodation for up to four guests. This is a wonderful small city of narrow, cobbled streets bounded by buildings that stretch back to mediaeval times and even to the Romans. Unspoilt by the demands of tourism, the walled city is a marvellous mixture of churches and palaces, bars, restaurants, shops and homes. The cultural calendar is packed with festivals and markets and there are all of the facilities that you would expect to find in a small city.
