AND PISA - VILLA MELETO APARTMENT RENTALS, TUSCANY, ITALY The restoration has been undertaken with great care to retain as much as possible of the original materials of the farmhouse. Terracotta floors, wooden beamed ceilings and the old stone facade have been preserved in their original state. The rooms are very spacious with tall ceilings, and most of them have large windows. The furnishing is a combination of the typical Tuscan style, with wrought iron and antique furniture, and modern comfort. |

Every bedroom has its own bathroom, either
ensuite or nearby. All kitchens are fully equipped with kitchenware and
dishwashers, and each apartment has a washing machine. There is satellite
TV and individual heating for each apartment. Just below the farmhouse there is the beautiful swimming pool, from where our guests can enjoy a picturesque view over the Tuscan landscape. The apartment is situated on
the first floor and is reached via an original stone staircase. On the
walls there are still the original antique fresco decorations that were
rediscovered during the restoration. The spacious living room still has the original large elevated stone fireplace where our guests can pass romantic evenings during the winter. The ancient tiled floors, warm red rugs, the beamed and tiled ceilings, all combine to evoke a different epoch. The kitchen, linked to the dining room, is fully equipped, with oven, gas hob and dishwasher. This apartment is situated on the ground floor of the villa, and large windows offer up a marvellous view over the surrounding landscape. The splendid vaulted red-brick ceiling is the gem of the apartment, and the dining room attached to the living room (where the couch becomes a double sofabed) creates a comfortable and practical environment. A second door leads from the living room out onto the terrace, equipped with garden furniture and sunshades, and a perfect place for barbeques or al fresco evenings. The fully equipped kitchen boasts dishwasher, washing machine, oven, gas hobs, fridge and freezer and its own door onto the external terrace. There are two double and one twin bedrooms, and all have their own bathrooms (two with showers, one with bath). |

The third, detached apartment - Lavinia (6+2) has a
studio with double sofabed, living room with fireplace, dining room, eat-in
kitchen, 3 double bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (all with shower, one ensuite).
The living area is on the ground floor, the sleeping area on the first
floor. For now there are no photographs of this apartment, but it too
has original cotto tiled floors and a beautiful stone fireplace. Maid service and a cook are available by request, and it is also possible to have meals delivered from a restaurant in nearby Empoli. San Miniato is the nearest reasonably sized town at 7 kilometres (there is a nine hole golf course there), and tennis and horse-riding are available at 9 and 13 kilometres respectfully. Ponte a Elsa is 5 kilometres away, and here you'll find the nearest bank, shops, post office and restaurant.
