Casale Gregoriano has a marvellous view of the mediæval town of San Gimignano which is about a kilometre away. The town has one of Italy's most famous skylines, with 14 ancient stone towers (out of an original 74), and has several notable structures that date back to the middle ages, the Romans, and even the Etruscans.

Alternatively you can take it easy and sit outside a cafe in one of the many squares and watch life amble by. There are plenty of shops in town and a supermarket just a kilometre from the villa.
Local activities include tennis and swimming (both within half a kilometre); and golf, fishing, go-carting and bowling within easy driving distance.

Siena (34km) and Florence (38km) are both highly rewarding destinations and with nearby motorway links (10 and 22km) you can easily make your way to any of the attractions of Tuscany and central Italy. Pisa with its airport is 60km away.
