| Below the castle of
Vivo d´Orcia, which has been in the hands of the family of
Count Cervini since 1534, stands the romanesque chapel of San Marcello.
This lovely building is surrounded by a piazzetta (small square) of
old farmhouses where estate residents meet after dinner on warm evenings
for a good chat. The entrance to Casa di Pietro leads off the piazzetta.
The house was recently fully restored and can now be rented by the week
or the month all year round.
Casa di Pietro comfortably sleeps four on two floors (80 m²) and and looks out onto a private walled garden which can be accessed directly from the living room (safe for children).
The ground floor consists of the living room with an open fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen with dining table. The upper floor consists of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and two bathrooms (one with shower, the other with tub). The swimming pool, which is shared with another house (sleeps 8, click here for details), lies at a convenient distance from Casa di Pietro (500 metres). |

| Casa di Pietro was fully restored in the year 2001 and is equipped
with all necessary comforts (washing machine, dishwasher, new kitchen
and bathrooms, central heating.) The refurbishment was personally attended
to by Daria Cervini, the owners' daughter, who invested a lot of time
and love in choosing the right marble, tiles and light fixtures, selecting
the right textiles for the curtains and upholstery, and having some
choice pieces of antique furniture from the castle restored.
At the back of the house a table and chairs have been set out under a pergola for meals outside. Please read on for more information and some prices, use the links below to find Casa di Pietro on the map or contact Casa di Pietro . |
