The garden extends in front of the blue apartment: situated on the ground floor, this is the biggest apartment and can sleep six: in addition to a double and a single bedroom (with the chance to add a second bed), the sofa in the living room becomes a comfortable double bed.

The entrance door leads directly into the spacious living room: in front of the sofa there is a perfect example of the way in which creativity can turn a simple cartwheel into a table trimmed with wrought iron and glass, made completely by hand.

The wall opposite houses a gallery of old photographs, reproducing life in the Tuscan fields in the Thirties: even the large table which supports the color TV was recuperated from our grandparent's wine cellar. The very bright, spacious kitchen is lit by one of the last rise and fall lamps to be made. These were once very common in farms but are now very hard to find.

Everything is perfectly finished off in sky blue, a colour that brings a lively touch to the simplest of objects… the sideboard is blue, as are the curtains and the tablecloth. The double bedroom is furnished with antique furniture: the wardrobe is spacious and complete with a delightful chest at the foot of the bed… in the olden days, our grandmothers used these to store trousseaus for their daughters or granddaughters.

The small table in front of the wardrobe, with the chair upholstered in the same shade of blue as the drape that decorates the table, supports a night lamp… in the evening its light fills the room with an atmosphere from days gone by. Even the smaller room, in its simplicity, is complete with every comfort: the main feature of this "nighttime corner" is an antique washstand at the foot of the bed: before running water became available in houses and women drew all water from the well, the washstand was vital to personal hygiene… one of the only beauty aids used by women!

The bathroom window, like that in the small bedroom, overlooks the atrium inside the farm, the same which houses the staircase that leads to the other two apartments: the flowers and the house's antique structure are views which are every bit as beautiful as those from every other window. In addition to the usual sanitary ware, the bathroom has a large mirror and a bathtub with a shower fitting. An area furnished with the colours of the sky, like the rest of the apartment, and large enough to satisfy the needs of a larger number of guests.

The apartment will be perfect both for a family vacation or a vacation with friends. In arranging this environment we took a step back in time and had great fun, for a number of reasons: our rewards have been more than merely economic. We have been given the opportunity to take care of that which belonged to our fathers and grandfathers, to keep memories alive; preserving everyday items which would otherwise be lost or ruined. We can show our guests the way in which life here was lived until just a very short time ago… This is an act of love and acknowledgement of that which some people call "old-age", whether they are referring to people or things. Our aim is to show you the beauty, magic and pleasure of our past and our tradition.
