Recently restored to the highest quality, Le Prugnole is a luxurious country house in the beautiful Val D'Orcia to the southeast of Siena in Tuscany.
The house sleeps 8 adults in comfort with four double bedrooms and three bathrooms. A fifth bedroom, suitable for children, has a small sofa, a desk and two twin beds on a mezzanine reached by a round staircase.
Elegantly furnished living areas open out to the covered terrace for dining al fresco and to stunning views over the valley. The stone-paved front court is surrounded by low walls planted with climbing roses and flowering vines. On one side of the court is the large covered dining area, on the other side is a 12 foot wide heated whirl pool which can be enjoyed well into autumn. Outside the dining area, facing the sunset, is a 10 x 5 metre swimming pool.
The high quality interiors include many antiques and period pieces, and are very skillfully decorated and combined with comfortable seating to make the villa feel like a home. On the ground floor is the spacious living room which opens out to the outdoor dining area. The living room has a stone fireplace and a baby grand piano. The country kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, and has a large Tuscan fireplace for roasting meats and vegetables, and for toasting bruschetta. The dining room is connected to the kitchen by a large brick arch. Also on the ground floor is a study, a laundry room with a washing machine and freezer, and a small bathroom.
The stone staircase brings you up to the first floor and into a sitting room. This large room has comfortable seating around the fireplace, and excellent views across the valley. From the sitting room you enter the beautifully furnished master bedroom and an en suite bathroom with a bath tub and shower. The four other double bedrooms open from the hallway — equally comfortable, they are well furnished with antique armoires and quality beds. There are two more bathrooms off the hallway with showers and modern fixtures.

Prices are weekly and are for 10 guests. Included : water, gas, electricity,
change of linen twice a week, daily cleaning (3 hours), final cleaning, welcome
Tuscan dinner. Heating is charged according to consumption. Baby cot is available
on request. Chef service is euro 13 per hour, plus food and drinks (please
note that this service is only available with prior booking). An extra bed
is euro 10 per night. The swimming pool is open from May 1st to October 15th.
Pets are not allowed. Security deposit is euro 500.
