Le Prugnole is not far from the village of Monticchiello, with the town of Pienza (a 10 minute drive) just visible in the distance. This is a beautifully scenic part of Tuscany, fertile and green, a rolling landscape of olive groves, vineyards and meadows dotted with mediaeval hilltop towns, monasteries and ancient fortifications.

Siena, Orvieto, Perugia and Cortona are less than an hour's drive away
each offering a distinctive view of life in central Italy. Visitors interested
in Renaissance art and architecture have a breathtaking selection of places
to visit, those more interested in pampering themselves can have a massage
at the thermal spa at San Casciano dei Bagni. Florence (one and a half hours)
and Rome (two hours) are both easily reachable by car and make fascinating
day trips.
