Casa
Gemma is located in a tiny, cosy village called Petrognano, located 500
metres above sea level on the green hills looking over Lucca. The house
is a traditional local stone and chestnut-timbered dwelling that was fully
renovated in 1997 using ecologically sound materials. The village itself dates back to Roman times, when there was a small sandstone quarry nearby - the locale is known as Cavina for this reason. The house is south facing, with striking views of the Lucca plain, and is arranged on three floors. |
