The villa is in Guardia Mangano, on the outskirts of Acireale, Catania. A few hundred metres away is the centre of Guardia with all the main services, such as supermarket, chemist, newsagent and post office.

You’ll find connections to this Sicily bed and breakfast and apartment rental simplicity itself. The railway station, with its frequent connections north to Taormina and Messina and south to Acireale and Catania, is just 300m from the house. The Giarre exit of the motorway is 4km away. Catania international airport Fontanarossa, can be reached in 30 minutes by car or train.
The part of the house used by guests has recently been modernised in rustic style using typical Sicilian materials; the rooms have a private bathroom and, on request, also a kitchen. Guests can use their own separate entrance, a parking space in the large courtyard, and 350sqm of garden with its own furniture for those moments of total relaxation.

From here it is easy to reach the splendid Riviera of the Lemons only 1.5 km away, with its typical Sicilian fishing villages including Maria La Scala, San Tecla, Pozzillo and Stazzo. There is the wonderful Cyclops Riviera with its old fishing villages such as Acitrezza and Acicastello, famously written about by Verga in his I Malavoglia. Taormina, Giardini-Naxos and the River Alcantara — all tourist attractions known all over the world for their natural beauty — are within a 20-minute drive.
The whole scene is dominated by the awe-inspiring hulk of Mount Etna rising up in all her majesty. The north and south faces can be reached easily in little more than half an hour.
There are single and double rooms, and rates include private bathroom, living room, and garden with furniture. High season is 16 June to 15 September and 24 December to 7 January, low season all other times. A single room is EURO €30 low season, €40 high. Double rooms are €60 or €70, additional beds €10 or €15.
The apartments comprise two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room/kitchen and garden. Check with the owners for high and low season dates; Carnival and Easter are high season. Daily prices range from €100 to €140 for hire of the apartment (depending on the season) or €25 to €35 per person. Weekly rental ranges from €560 to €950.
