The Parco Cavalonga Resort is immersed in a luxuriant, unspoiled landscape of Mediterranean green. Surrounded by century-old olive and carob trees, in the heart of Ibla province, this area is protected under the auspices of Unesco. Nearby is Ragusa, and there are the marvellous little baroque towns, Scicli, Modica and Noto. The resort, framed by typical dry stone walls, is located within an 18-hectare natural park. The original architecture has been carefully restored, and the buildings harmonise perfectly with the lush Mediterranean vegetation and the countryside around. There’s plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sunshine, and a beautiful, irregular-shaped swimming pool (8.5 x 17 metres in length, depth 1.1 – 2.3 metres). Accommodation is in two lovely buildings, dating from the early 1900s, which have been restored and subdivided into five comfortable and elegant apartments, each one with its own unique detail. A further apartment is reserved for the caretaker. Without invading the privacy of the guests, he takes care of the park and the pool. The usage of the outside spaces is through enclosed courtyards (according to the typical model of the Sicilian ancient baglio or courtyard) and terraces stretched over the countryside below. These ensure each apartment has privacy and quiet. Private parking is available inside the estate.
Apartments are laid out as follows. Ground floor: living room with double bed couch and fireplace, kitchen (4 gas burners), twin room with connected bathroom-shower, terrace (90 square metres). First floor: double room with connected bathroom-tub and shower, small terrace (25 square metres). The apartments total 90 square metres, sleeping 4+2, with child cot and highchair available on request. Water, gas, electricity and final cleaning are included. There is a damage deposit of €300, and a central heating charge (if applicable) of €10 per day; the same for air conditioning. All linen and towels are provided. Small pets are allowed. Appliances in the flats include washing machine, dishwasher, electric oven, fridge with freezer, satellite decoder, TV.
