March, April, May, June and September are the best months for visiting; July and August are possible by special arrangement, and the winter months are not recommended. Because of the various opening times of the villas (some do not open on particular days), the garden travel requires arrival at, say, Pisa airport on the afternoons of Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
