David is an engineer by profession - by inclination a restorer of furniture and renovator of decaying old buildings. Loves wine, food, art and all things Italian .. especially the house in Caugliano.

Barbara is a freelance copywriter with a love of Italy that goes back to a previous life. She first saw Tuscany through the eyes of her art-lecturer husband and with a baby in tow. Thirty years on Italy still has a grip on her heart.

Dan has lived near Siena since he was six, and studied at Florence College of Art, before Cambridge. He was a Rome scholar and is a brilliant water-colourist with an architect's passion for the history of the landscapes and townscapes of Tuscany. Alongside glacier climbing, long distance cycling and landscape gardening, his particular interest is in creating sketch dairies, using ink and watercolours.
