The Painting Week - Day by Day - Please note our programme is flexible. This is only an example of a typical week.

Friday

Free pick up from Pisa airport, or we'll meet you in nearby Fivizzano, arrive at Caugliano to drinks and a snack. Settle into your room, relax in the garden, then dinner at Casa Unicorno and your opportunity to talk over ideas for the week ahead.

Saturday

Tutored tour of the village to locate subject material. Painting outdoors or in the studio. Optional trip into town (Fivizzano) for shopping, drinks in the bar or an ice cream. Dinner in a local restaurant.

Sunday

A day of discovery in the studio or painting outdoors. Maybe an early tutorial with drinks. Dinner at Casa Unicorno.

Monday

Sketch trip to the Bay of Poets, where Byron and Shelley found inspiration, then tracing DH Lawrence's footsteps to the fishing village of Tellaro. Dinner at Casa Unicorno.

Tuesday

Market day in Fivizzano. Breakfast in the Piazza Medici. Afternoon sketch trip to the castle of Verrucola. Dinner at Casa Unicorno.

Wednesday

Optional sketch trip to the walled town of Lucca, a cultural jewel with wonderful shops. Dinner alla casa.

Thursday

A final full day to paint or draw. Over early evening drinks we'll show your week's work in the long hall at Casa Unicorno. Our farewell dinner in a lively local restaurant.

Friday

Return trip to Pisa. See you next year!
