[View maps of our location - Local | Regional]

The Relais Palazzo di Luglio is situated at the top of a hill overlooking the Tiberina valley, 3 km from downtown Sansepolcro (birthplace of Piero della Francesca, one of the great artists of the early Renaissance). Nearby there are many sights of interest from the towns of Sansepolcro, Arezzo and Caprese Michelangelo - the birthplace of Michelangelo, to the mediæval village of Anghiari which lies only 6km away.

Surrounded by large gardens and 12 hectares of olive groves, you will find the Relais Palazzo di Luglio is an oasis of tranquility. There are many tracks across the hills that you can explore, either on foot or by bike. There is a nine hole golf course at Antognolla, fishing possibilities in nearby Lake Montedoglio, and stables where you can discover the joys of riding. The staff at reception will be happy to help you plan your excursions.

The complex comprises four buildings. A main structure houses the reception, lounges, wine cellars, a wine bar and also four suites - one of which is suitable for disabled guests; there is also three annexes - Seccatoio, Fienile and Frantoio. All of the buildings have been carefully restored and renovated taking particular care to ensure that the character of the 18th century structures has been preserved.

The wine cellar offers you the opportunity to sample some of the fine wines of the region, and also buy them if you wish. In addition the Palazzo also produces its own extra virgin olive oil, and it even has its own oil press which operates in November and December - this is open to guests, allowing them to view the process. You may also purchase some of the extra virgin olive oil produced here.
