Tuscany is perhaps one of the most beautiful regions in Italy, filled with everything you could ask for. The sea, the mountains, its cities and towns steeped in history and culture, its food and most of all the countryside. Rolling hills carpeted in ancient forest, olive groves, and vineyards from which our name is derived. The Barbarossa vine produces an exquisite wine that must be tasted to be believed.

We are located within the Chianti region in San Casciano val di Pesa. Within a radius of 20km you can explore the city of Florence and towns of Monteriggione, San Gimignano, Certaldo, Greve in Chianti, and Montespertoli.

Once you have tired yourself out exploring the surrounding countryside you can be sure of a warm welcome and the perfect environment to relax and recharge your batteries!

All of the suites at Locanda Barbarossa are furnished to the highest standards and range from approximately 35sq metres to over 100sq metres for the largest. In addition to the apartments we also have a restaurant that serves traditional Tuscan food. We can guarantee that once you smell and see the wonderful dishes that this region is justly famous for you will find your appetite awakened, and with the wines of Chianti to compliment the delicious foods it will be a meal to remember!
