Set in the hills between San Miniato and San Gimignano, this farmhouse has a superb position with panoramic views. It contains six independent apartments - the fruits of a careful restoration - with a further apartment in the castle.

Castello is at the heart of a working farm estate making superb wines and extra virgin olive oil. The owners are always delighted to show guests the cellar and offer tastings.

The seven apartments have wonderful views - some over the woods and some the valley. All have DVD, fans, hob, fridge/freezer, satellite TV, kettle, coffee maker and a TV/phone monitor for the electric gates. Every flat has its own safe, and there are free cycles for guests. Off the reception (once a hayloft) is a fully equipped gym.

Nearby is an 11 x 5 metre swimming pool, plus a barbecue and sun terrace, laundry room and private parking. The farm is 2km from the nearest grocers shop, 30km from San Gimignano, 45km from both Florence and Pisa, and 60km from Siena.

Number One has a private equipped terrace with superb views. The kitchen has oven, cooking hob, fridge/freezer, and there is a large living room with TV. There is a double bedroom and a twin, plus two bathrooms with showers.

Number Two enters from a private garden, and has great views. There is a kitchen with a microwave and TV, a double bedroom and a triple. The two bathrooms have showers, and the flat has a covered, furnished terrace.

Number Three has great views of the countryside. There is a private entrance from the garden into the living room and a sitting room with two sofas and TV. The kitchen has an oven, cooking hob, fridge/freezer. You have a double bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, plus a twin bedroom. The two bathrooms have showers, and there is a covered, furnished terrace.

The following sleep 4-5 people:

Three-room apartment Number One has an entrance from an equipped private garden, kitchen with a microwave and TV, double bedroom, triple bedroom, two bathrooms with showers.

Three-room apartment Number Two has an equipped private terrace, lounge and TV. Your kitchen has a hob microwave and fridge-freezer. There is a double bedroom, a triple and two bathrooms with showers.

Castello is in the castle, up a flight of steps on the first floor. Entrance is into the lounge/well-equipped kitchen area and the lounge has a double sofa bed. You have a double bedroom with open fireplace, while a corridor leads to a twin-bedded room. The apartment has two bathrooms with showers, plus a furnished sitting-out area by the steps, and a covered terrace.

There is also a house sleeping six. With a covered, fully equipped loggia for dining on the ground floor and a lawned area out front. This accommodation has three big double bedrooms. There are two bathrooms with showers, a kitchen/living area with a large open fireplace, featuring hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. The house has satellite TV.
